Destroyer Angel by Nevada Barr

Review by Mary Alice Gorman
Paperback February 2015
An Anna Pigeon mystery

If Nevada Barr had written Deliverance for women you'd have Destroyer Angel, a tenses outdoor adventure that delivers thrills, suspense and insight.

Destroyer Angel is a classic good vs. evil struggle in the Iron Range of Upper Minnesota with all of nature's best complications folded into the mix. The usual goosebump details, literary and cinematic references and witty delivery form a US Park Service professional hit the target. We listened to this on a road trip but it would be best on a cool autumn evening or snowy weekend. Loved it!
